Six Australian Muslim women have lashed out at anti-Islam activist Ayaan Hirsi Ali with the release of a video condemning the tone with which she speaks about their religion.
According to the Daily Mail, Ali frequently speaks out against Islamic law and the way women are treated under it, with issues like female genital mutilation – something she reportedly experienced – being on her list of topics for discussion.
In the aforementioned video – which a group called Persons of Interest uploaded to Facebook – the Muslim women describe Ali’s words as “the language of patriarchy and misogyny.”
“This is the language of white supremacy,” they say. “This is the language used to justify war and genocide.”
“How can you claim to stand for our liberation when you simply repeat the language of our oppressors?” they also inquire.

Many of the commenters on the video appear to be critical of it.
“You make lots of accusations but don’t support them with any evidence,” wrote Facebook user Andrzej Krysta. “And you certainly don’t engage with any of her arguments. Your video is simply an attempt to smear the reputation of the woman.”
“These women live in the free west,” wrote Ann Zagorski Finnerty. “They do not help the real victimized women of Islam who are stoned to death because they were raped or the children who are brutalized by rape and torture!”
