With few days left before the election, the last thing Hillary Clinton wants is to lose an endorsement from a high profile supporter. But, that’s exactly what has happened. This might prove catastrophic for the Democrat Presidential hopeful.
A prominent Latino writer for the Huffington Post has withdrawn his endorsement of Clinton. Cesar Vargas has had enough, “It took me a long time to write this. I had to dig deep into my being to come up with these words. I’m recanting my endorsement of Hillary Clinton for the presidency.”he wrote in the Huffington Post.
Well, why would he do that – especially so close to election day? One good reason – he let his conscience be his guide.
Vargas has grown tired, not so much of the accusations hurled at the Clintons and their associates, but more at the people surrounding Clinton, and the mainstream media, who have refused to acknowledge that the many Clinton scandals point to some unacceptable behavior.
Especially, Vargas is concerned about Clinton’s emails. “There has been no repudiation, let alone denunciation, of what was said in those emails-just denial, finger pointing, and doublespeak. To appoint the very same folks who carried out many malicious behaviors to tip the scales for Hillary is just as unpardonable. Why reward unethical behavior? It’s mind-boggling.” he said.
Clinton and her team have been bombarded daily with jaw-dropping scandals, which the media has refused to properly cover. It started with the deliberate destruction of email evidence, which should have been a smoking gun for everyone. It continued with apparent evidence the Clinton Foundation wrongly obtained and used donor funds. Most recently, it appears that there was collision taking place on many fronts.
All along, Vargas notes, the Clinton camp refuses to even take responsibility for these activities. Rather, they attack the messenger and the process itself, even when that process is coming directly from the FBI. Any person that stands up to Clinton and her colleagues on the left is viewed as the enemy.
Vargas continued “Bernie Sanders was treated horribly by the DNC, the Clinton crew, and the Obama administration, and by proxy, many of us were also stung. Without any apologies. In fact, we received nothing but contempt from the Clinton campaign and her surrogates. Then they expected us to fall in formation. Many of us did.”
As Clinton continues to see people like Vargas jump ship, Republican nominee Donald Trump is seeing the exact opposite phenomenon. In the past couple of days, some of his strongest critics are coming out to endorse him, including Senator Ted Cruz of Texas, who previously was quite rough on Trump.
“After many months of careful consideration, of prayer and searching my own conscience, I have decided that on Election Day, I will vote for the Republican nominee, Donald Trump,” Cruz wrote in a Facebook post.
Interesting choice of words by Cruz, they ring similar to those we’ve heard from Vargas. Both are anti-Clinton for the same reason — they are listening to their “conscience.” Wow.
Thank you, Mr. Vargas for siding with truth, justice, and the American way.
